What Makes Art a Vital Part of Early Education?
Art is the spark inside every child, and that is why we at Starakidz create an environment where a child can develop imagination, boldness, and talent in artwork. The program involves a lot of hands-on activities, giving the children an opportunity to grow creatively and learn new skills, which they can then express meaningfully. Your child, by way of arts, may learn to develop an appreciation for the visual world and understand himself and the world about him.
Why does my child need to do art?
Art is essential in early childhood. Art is one of the ways by which early childhood children can help hone their fine motor skills through the use of brushes, scissors, and the like. It is also going to develop hand-eye coordination and will seek mental development, encouraging this through problem-solving and spatial awareness. Besides these physical and cognitive benefits, art helps in emotional development by letting the child present his emotions, ideas, and creativity in a secure and supportive atmosphere. Doing arts makes a child gain even more confidence about what he has achieved as the child enjoys what he has done and maintains character developed enough to value beauty in all things and uniqueness in all things that surround him.
What will my child be learning from the arts?
Our Art program is structured to help any of our children from any age, to develop skills that foster creative expression and cognitive development. Through structured as well as unstructured activities your child will learn:
-
Color Theory and Recognition: Understand how colors work together, mix different colors, and learn to recognize primary, secondary, and complementary colors.
-
Shape and Form: A basic exploration of shapes as they often make up parts of more intricate designs and structures.
-
Fine Motor: Hand-eye coordination through drawing, cutting, painting, and various crafts.
-
Imagination and Creativity: Helping them to look beyond the edge and give shape to ideas that are born within them.
Art allows children to express themselves by showing emotions, thoughts, or experiences that may be hard to verbalize.
Every lesson will engage yet be suitable for the level of growth in the child, allowing them to grow as they learn and acquire new skills at a natural pace.
What makes your teaching approach unique?
At Starakidz, we have much focus on exploration and expression with fun while teaching and exploring this form of creativity. We care to create a space that is free to experiment around with different types of materials and techniques. Our objective here is to let children sincerely express themselves rather than perfect themselves.
-
Exploration and Discovery: We will allow them to experiment with different textures and techniques by providing a vast array of art supplies like paints, markers, clay, and fabric. With the freedom to explore comes creativity and curiosity.
-
Step-by-step Instruction: Teachers will assist the children through each activity by giving clear, easy-to-follow instructions and demonstrations appropriate to their age so each child can successfully join in.
-
Integration with Other Subjects: Art is not drawing or painting. We integrate the other subjects together so science is involved with the discovery of natural patterns, language arts to represent stories, and even math to work with shapes and symmetry; it's overall.
-
Hands-on activities: Kids will create their art, be a part of making individual and group pieces, social skills in communication and discussion.
Our art program lies in the love for creative activity and in a place where each child takes pleasure in the uniqueness of their artistic creations.
