Art
What Makes Art a Vital Part of Early Education?
Art is the spark inside every child, and that is why we at Starakidz create an environment where a child can develop imagination, boldness, and talent in artwork. The program involves a lot of hands-on activities, giving the children an opportunity to grow creatively, build confidence, and learn new skills, which they can then express meaningfully. Your child, by way of arts, may learn to develop an appreciation for the visual world, think critically, and understand himself and the world about him.
Why does my child need to do art?
Art is essential in early childhood. It helps hone fine motor skills through brushes, scissors, and more. It also develops hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and spatial awareness. Beyond physical and cognitive benefits, art supports emotional growth by allowing children to express emotions, ideas, and creativity in a secure environment. Creating art builds confidence as children enjoy their achievements and develop an appreciation for beauty and uniqueness in the world around them.
What will my child be learning from the arts?
Color Theory and Recognition
Understand how colors work together, mix different colors, and learn to recognize primary, secondary, and complementary colors.
Shape and Form
A basic exploration of shapes as they often make up parts of more intricate designs and structures.
Fine Motor
Hand-eye coordination through drawing, cutting, painting, and various crafts.
Imagination and Creativity
Helping them to look beyond the edge and give shape to ideas that are born within them.
Art allows children to express themselves by showing emotions, thoughts, or experiences that may be hard to verbalize.
Every lesson will engage yet be suitable for the level of growth in the child, allowing them to grow as they learn and acquire new skills at a natural pace.
What makes your teaching approach unique?
Exploration and Discovery
We will allow them to experiment with different textures and techniques by providing a vast array of art supplies like paints, markers, clay, and fabric. With the freedom to explore comes creativity and curiosity.
Step-by-step Instruction
Teachers will assist the children through each activity by giving clear, easy-to-follow instructions and demonstrations appropriate to their age so each child can successfully join in.
Integration with Other Subjects
Art is not drawing or painting. We integrate the other subjects together so science is involved with the discovery of natural patterns, language arts to represent stories, and even math to work with shapes and symmetry; it's overall.
Hands-on activities
Kids will create their art, be a part of making individual and group pieces, social skills in communication and discussion.
